RETURNS POLICY

Last updated: October 2, 2026

We want you to be completely satisfied with your watch. This policy describes your right to return a watch, how returns work and your rights if something is wrong.

1. 14-day right of withdrawal (distance purchases)

If you are a consumer and bought your watch at a distance (for example by email, phone or through our website, without meeting us in person), you have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (lag (2005:59) om distansavtal och avtal utanför affärslokaler) and EU consumer law.

The 14 days start on the day you receive the watch.
You do not need to give a reason.
The right of withdrawal applies to consumers in Sweden and the EU. It does not apply to purchases made by a business.

Purchases made in person: If you saw, inspected and bought the watch in person at our premises, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply. [Optional: We still offer a goodwill return within X days on the conditions below.] Your rights in the event of defects (section 6) always apply.

2. How to return a watch

Notify us within 14 days of receiving the watch by email to hello@timeessentials.se. Include your name, the order or reference number and the watch you want to return. You may also use the standard EU withdrawal form, but it is not required.

Send the watch back no later than 14 days after you notified us. We will give you return instructions and the address. The watch must be sent fully insured, tracked and signed for, to protect both you and us.

Return the watch together with everything that came with it: box, papers, warranty card, hang tags, extra links, straps and any other accessories.

3. Condition of returned watches

You may examine the watch the way you would in a store: look at it, check it and try it on briefly.

If the watch has been handled beyond what is needed to establish its nature, characteristics and function, we may deduct an amount from the refund that matches the loss in value. Examples are visible wear, new scratches, removed protective films, links that were removed and lost, or missing box and papers. Before we make any deduction, we will document it with photos and explain it to you.

4. Refunds

We refund the full purchase price, including the original standard shipping cost, within 14 days of receiving your notice of withdrawal.
We may wait to refund until we have received the watch back, or until you have shown that you have sent it, whichever comes first.
The refund is made using the same payment method you used, unless we agree otherwise.
Return shipping costs are paid by you. Because watches must be returned fully insured, this cost can be higher than a standard parcel. We are happy to help you book a suitable service.
Customs duties and import taxes for deliveries outside the EU are not refundable by us. You may be able to reclaim them from your local customs authority.

5. Returns not covered

Watches bought by a business (B2B purchases)
Watches that have been modified, resized by a third party, opened, polished or serviced after delivery
Watches made or adjusted to your specific personal requirements at your request, for example a custom engraving
Trade-in watches that you have handed over to us as part of a purchase. Their value is credited according to our agreement and cannot be reversed through a return.

6. Defects and complaints

As a consumer you are always entitled to make a claim for defects under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act (konsumentköplagen (2022:260)), for up to three years after delivery. Contact us within a reasonable time after you notice the problem; notification within two months is always considered reasonable.

All watches are pre-owned. Normal signs of age and use that are described in the ad or visible in the photos are not defects.

If a watch has a defect, we will repair it, replace it, give you a price reduction or refund you, according to the law.

7. Time Essentials warranty

In addition to your statutory rights, every watch comes with a [12]-month Time Essentials warranty on the movement's function. It covers mechanical faults that arise from normal use.

It does not cover:

normal wear such as scratches, straps or crystals
water damage due to unscrewed crowns, or to water resistance that has not been tested after delivery
impact damage or misuse
repairs or opening by anyone other than us or a watchmaker we approve

The warranty does not limit your rights under Swedish law.

8. Authenticity guarantee

Every watch we sell is guaranteed authentic. If a watch is ever shown not to be authentic, we will give you a full refund with no time limit.

9. Disputes

If we cannot agree, you can contact the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN, www.arn.se). We follow ARN's recommendations. EU consumers can also use the EU's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
